What We Do
Manzke Machine, a woman-owned small business, is a machine shop with additional expertise in mechanical engineering. We utilize Pro Engineer Wildfire for engineering and design and Pro Manufacture for CNC tool path generation. We are able to quickly design and manufacture prototype parts directly from a 3-D CAD model. This includes precision machine parts, mechanical assemblies, and machined weldments.
Our key piece of equipment is our Hardinge XR 760 CNC mill, purchased new in November 2007. Key features of the XR760 are:
- Fanuc 18i-MB control
- 30 X 24 X 24 inch travel (X, Y, and Z)
- 12,000 rpm, 25 hp Weiss spindle
- Renishaw OMP 40 spindle probe for in-process gaging
- Renishaw TS27R tool setter for automated tool setting and breakage detection
- 787 in/min cutting feed, 1400+ in/min rapids
- Ai Nano Contour Control for high speed surfacing
- Dual contact (Big Plus) Cat 40 spindle
- Through spindle coolant
- 30 pocket side mount tool changer.
- Well tooled with Kaiser Big Plus tool holders
In January 2009 we added a Hardinge live tool GS150 lathe. This machine features:
- Fanuc Oi control
- 11 x 16 inch turning capacity (dia X length)
- 15 hp, 6000 rpm spindle
- 12 station VDI 30 turret
- 5000 rpm, 5 hp live tools
- Programmable tailstock
- Renishaw tool probe
Support equipment includes an ESAB Heliarc 252 TIG welder, manual lathe, horizontal band saw, drill press, compressor, hydraulic press, ultrasonic cleaner, and the usual hand tools. We also have an inspection room with inspection tools. Future additions will include a CMM and a fourth axis table for the XR760.
